Process Projected
New Exhibition:
Everyday (twenty years)
Noah Kalina
January 23 – February 5
Dear friends,
This weeks marks the first installment of the new Process Projected exhibition series. I’m excited to kick off this ongoing series and introduce you to beautiful work by amazing photographers telling stories that matter.
You can expect the best emerging and established photographers to share new work here first. If you aren’t able to visit the exhibitions in person at the gallery, then this newsletter can serve as your long-distance art friend letting you know about all the compelling and socially involved narratives worth digging into.
Let me know if you pop by the gallery, I might be there or nearby.

Process Projected at What Is Happening Here Gallery

About The Work
"Everyday" is an extraordinary exploration of the ordinary by the photographer Noah Kalina. In this compelling series, Kalina invites us into the intimate rhythm of daily life and delivers a moving and compelling narrative that inspires self-reflection.
"Everyday" is not just a collection of images; it's a testament to the power of consistency and the beauty hidden within routine. For over two decades, Kalina has meticulously taken a self-portrait every day, creating a visual diary that unveils the subtle nuances of his evolving self and his environment.
In an era dominated by fleeting moments and rapid-fire imagery, Kalina's commitment to this project is a feat of artistic endurance. Each photograph captures a moment, a day, a chapter of his life, allowing us to witness a slow and subtle transformation.
Beyond the personal narrative, "Everyday" sparks a universal conversation about the human experience. Kalina's lens captures the shared threads of our lives—the humor, the challenges, the growth—that resonate with viewers from all walks of life. It is, in a sense, a celebration of our collective journey, told through the lens of one man's relentless commitment.
As we navigate the exhibition, observe the subtle shifts in emotion, appearance, and surroundings. They tell a story of growth, resilience, and the ceaseless march of time.
Below: 6 images from a series of 7263, taken between January 11, 2000 and January 11, 2020.
If you’re not able to view the exhibition in real life at the gallery, you can view the work on YouTube and on its own dedicated website everyday.photo.
About The Artist
Noah Kalina is an artist and photographer based in Lumberland, NY. His work has been widely exhibited nationally and internationally and is in the collections of institutions and private collectors worldwide. He has been commissioned by The New York Times Magazine, Gucci, Disney, and General Electric.
He was also the main photographer for the international best-seller Cabin Porn, which is a book about beautiful cabins and not about porn. The early 2010’s was a strange time online. Noah is currently featured in Samsung’s Art Frame store where people have viewed his work tens of millions of hours. We live in an attention economy.
I highly recommend subscribing to Noah’s new YouTube channel. It’s hard to describe, but it’s wonderful and very Noah. Dry humor, creative storytelling, interesting angles. Sometimes he may fly a drone into a snowstorm, and other times he may pretend to be speaking on the phone with his mother. It’s sort of…daily?

Noah Kalina is hands down my favorite modern artist.
The seriousness of his is work (including his intense dedication) artfully contrasts with his dry humor and general silly approach to life. I greatly admire his work and cannot get enough of his online presence.
Always a pleasure to read you my friend!!!! Always so inspiring
Thank you!!!
